As a young child Michiel fell in love with Amsterdam. After he graduated from the Art University in Maastricht, he found the love of his life in Amsterdam and soon after moved to the city, where he decided to start his own company called Amsterdam Untold to tell others about all the interesting history and facts of the city that is often referred to as Venice of the North.
