Visit a Museum

Paris has many museums, and, as you may well be aware, cultural outings with children are not always the most fun. However, this is starting to change as more and more cultural institutions are adapting their style to appeal to the young’uns so that everyone can get the most out of the visit. The Louvre offers a tour just for children during which participants enjoy skip-the-line entry and a guide who explains the masterpieces in a way that’s both fun and educational for the children (as well as for the parents!). The Palace of Versailles also has a tour designed for children during which they uncover the fascinating history of this majestic palace.

A visit to the Grévin Wax Museum is also an entertaining option for the kids as is the Aquarium de Paris with its 10,000 marine species, or the sprawling Pompidou Center, a modern and captivating venue for all ages.

Take a walk

There are many pleasant routes and itineraries in Paris for a nice stroll with the kids, and one of the most appreciated is undoubtedly the river banks of the Seine on which you can discover Paris from a magnificent angle: On the water. Make yourself comfortable on one of the famous “bateaux mouches” which literally translates to “flying boats”, shuttle boats so-called because they take visitors from stop to stop along the riverbank…the same way a fly seemingly stops and goes as it buzzes its way around to here, there and everywhere. Sit back and cruise past Paris’ most beautiful monuments such as Notre Dame Cathedral, D’Orsay Museum, the Conciergerie, and the unmistakable Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower and Montmartre

The Eiffel Tower is an absolute must visit in the French capital, the perfect way to enjoy a breathtaking view of the city, and will make for a special family memory that you’ll treasure long after you’ve returned from Paris. Standing tall over the Champs de Mars park and opposite the Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower is emblematic of Paris and all its majesty.

A veritable little village in the heart of a big city, Montmartre is also a very pleasant district to discover as a family, passing through the narrow alleys with animated terraces and colorful hidden gardens.
