Summer is here, and we’re looking forward to heading to the beach with a good book in tote. Here are five beach reads that we suggest for summer.
1. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Micheal Chabon
Thrill-seekers will love Micheal Chabon’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. Told via wonderfully colorful descriptions, this novel features the mental imagery and fluctuating moods typical of a comic book. Be transported from the beach to New York City in1939, a year characterized by both tragedy and triumph. Follow the two protagonists as they navigate the dangerous era with sheer audacity….and a little bit of imagination.
