What’s new in Dubai

A city known for its luxury, design and innovation, Dubai is always on the forefront of all things new and exciting. As the “City of Gold” heads into its high season, here’s a look at some new happenings that won’t disappoint.

From private island paradise hotels to a mall with its own “Central Park” to a “house party” themed-bar, Dubai’s out-of-this-world entertainment makes for some enduring memories to take home with you.

1. Museum of Illusions

The spectacular Museum of Illusions officially opens its door this month.  Test your faith in your own eyes by wandering through the exhibits and engaging in the imperceptible installations, like the Bottomless Pit and the Infinity Room where space seems to go on forever. Intriguing for all ages. The museum also features puzzles and games that exercise the limits of the human brain as well as your own perception. Exercise your mind with tons of brain-teasers and find amusement in your own gullibility.

2. Blue Waters Island

A testament to the city’s knack for design, Blue Waters Island is a waterfront tribute to luxury with an exclusive selection of newly available premium apartments, penthouses, and townhouses. Aside from a one-of-kind private island experience, you can take a spin on Ain Dubai, the tallest and largest observation wheel in the world– as well as 200 retail and dining options, all easily accessible from automated vehicles.

3. Cityland Mall

The world’s first nature-inspired shopping mall is slated to open at the end of this year. Cityland Mall will feature a 200,000 square foot Central Park that will provide a new eco-shopping habitat including a 300-year-old ancient tree garden, a Japanese garden and a mini version of Dubai’s Miracle Garden. Designed to accommodate 7,000 shoppers at a time, Cityland Mall will have 350 stores in it’s six continent-themed pavilions, a walking track, a small water park, a rooftop garden, an amphitheater, a selection of restaurants and cafes and more.
