Carnival = king cake season and the shorter the season, the more we try to cram in our mouths. I was lucky to go to a party yesterday where I got to try four different kinds 🙊 My contribution was this king cake from @laboulangerienola. While they changed their fillings (and got rid of my favorite 😒) this one is strawberry almond, with brioche dough, a light touch of strawberry jam + almond cream, and cream cheese icing. They also have plain cinnamon and chocolate brownie filling (!). As always, it’s appropriately topped with a 🐷 (because they’re owned by Link Restaurant Group!) Their king cake is one of my favorites and I’m sure I’ll be back for another this season.
